Where to Retire has released this year’s list of the 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S., and Terramor was included among the honored communities. Terramor is the only community in California to be featured.
Editors spent nearly a year compiling and reviewing hundreds of locations before settling on the final list. Factors considered in their decision included the range and quality of homes, amenities and overall value for money. Terramor’s outstanding amenities like The Veranda and The Terrace Club were real highlights for the editors, along with the stunning views of the Santa Ana Mountains across the valley.
Visit the Welcome House to experience this incredible community first-hand and see how you can call Terramor home.

When you take the time to learn about and explore Temescal Valley, you’ll find that it’s a place rooted in history. And there are plenty of landmarks to check out around town.
Two centuries ago in 1818, Leandro Serrano, a soldier at Mission San Luis Rey, raised livestock, planted orchards and vineyards and established adobe homes for himself and his family on what he called Rancho Temescal. The remnants of his two tanning vats used to make leather from cow hides have been restored and marked by a plaque.
As for the land where Serrano lived on, the Serrano Boulder stands where he constructed his first adobe in 1824—the first residence in Riverside County. And a plaque marks the site of his third adobe home, where his family lived until 1898.
Located on Temescal Canyon Road, the Old Temescal Road marker stands as another California historical landmark. This road played a major role in Southern California history as a major route for gold seekers, the military and postal service. And on this route was Butterfield Stage Station, where mail was delivered, horses changed and passengers given rest and a meal. The landmark for the station now lives at the Shops at Dos Lagos near the lakes.
It’s a big year for Temescal Valley, which just turned 200 years old! You can join in on the Bicentennial Celebration throughout the year with events and activities. For more information, visit the We Are Temescal Valley website.
There’s no better way to start off the new season than with a fresh look. And these new home design trends are getting extra attention this year.
If you never got on board with the gray trend, the new year is bringing richer color palettes to the table. From dramatic velvet couches to edgy jewel-toned pieces, your great room at Cortina by Del Webb is your canvas to express your creativity. And a great way to add a bold pop of color is with Pantone’s color of the year, Living Coral.
Simple and monochromatic had a good run, but bold is the new neutral this year. Bright and daring geometric patterns are making a comeback. Whether it’s kitchen backsplash, shower tile or even striking throws and decorative pillows, this trend will bring any room at Sterling by CalAtlantic Homes – A Lennar Company to life.
When it comes to accents and fixtures—artisanal, handmade and even sustainable pieces are the way to go. These types of additions can bring a more personalized touch into the home and help nurture an even closer connection with nature. Wood features, indoor plants and hand-crafted macramé in your den at Ardena by Del Webb are great ways to explore this trend.
All-white everything had its moment in the sun, but black is back. Crafting an all-black design in your master bath at Caraway by KB Home can create that spa-inspired ambiance you’re looking for. When you add a dark, bold touch to your personal retreat, your self-care time at home will feel like a more indulgent, high-end experience.
We hope you’re feeling inspired because now’s the time to try something daring and new in your home at Terramor.
