Choosing where to live is about more than just finding a new home. It is about finding a lifestyle that supports how you want to spend your days. For many adults, a thoughtfully crafted 55+ community offers the right balance of comfort, connection and convenience.
At Cedarwood at Terramor, a 55+ neighborhood within the Terramor master-planned community in Temescal Valley, that lifestyle comes to life through curated amenities, meaningful social opportunities and a setting that makes everyday living feel easy and intentional.
Here are just a few of the benefits of living in a 55+ community like Cedarwood by Del Webb.
A Lifestyle Designed Around You
One of the most appealing aspects of a 55+ community is that everything is designed with your lifestyle in mind. From home layouts to neighborhood amenities, the focus is on comfort, accessibility and ease so you can spend less time managing your home and more time relaxing.
At Cedarwood at Terramor, homes and shared spaces are intentionally planned to support everyday living whether that means hosting friends, staying active or simply winding down at your own pace.
Built-in Opportunities to Stay Active
Being active looks different for everyone, and a 55+ community makes it easier to find what works for you. Instead of traveling across town for fitness or wellness activities, residents can enjoy amenities tailored to this stage of life.
Cedarwood by Del Webb offers spaces that support movement, balance and overall wellness, including a clubhouse gym and outdoor areas that encourage a dynamic lifestyle. From individual routines to group classes shared through the community newsletter, staying active feels accessible and enjoyable.
A Strong Sense of Community
Connection is at the heart of living for a 55+ crowd. Shared spaces, events and activities create natural opportunities to meet neighbors and build friendships without pressure or obligation.
At Cedarwood at Terramor, the neighborhood atmosphere encourages residents to connect in ways that feel comfortable and authentic, whether it’s through organized activities, clubs or social events at the Terrace Club, the community’s dedicated 55+ amenity center.
Low-Maintenance Living
Many 55+ communities are designed to reduce the day-to-day upkeep that can come with traditional homeownership. This allows residents to spend less time on maintenance and more time doing what they enjoy most.
At Cedarwood by Del Webb, low-maintenance living means supporting a lifestyle focused on freedom, flexibility and peace of mind.
A Location That Enhances Daily Life
Cedarwood residents enjoy the benefits of living within the larger Terramor master plan, with access to thoughtfully curated surroundings and proximity to everyday conveniences. Located in Temescal Valley, the community offers easy access to shopping, dining and local attractions, as well as outdoor recreation and regional destinations throughout Southern California.
A Community That Grows with You

When it comes to planning events, our new lifestyle manager, Danielle Young, has the know-how and passion to do it all – from intimate gatherings and wine tastings to all-out festivals and concerts. And Terramor is where she gets to exercise her creative talents to the benefit of the community.

Danielle Young
What began as a hobby turned into a full-fledged career in 2014 when Danielle was offered a position at FirstService Residential to coordinate community events. And since then, her experience has grown to planning events throughout the Inland Empire for a diverse range of clients, including committees, clubs, local law enforcement and city officials.
But Terramor is where she really thrives. Danielle enjoys getting to know the residents so that she can best meet their lifestyle needs. She’s excited by “the resort lifestyle this community offers,” which she’s able to “make a reality through community events.” And it’s her appreciation and understanding of residents’ active and involved lives that informs every aspect of her event planning.
Danielle can’t wait to plan out Terramor’s upcoming 2020 social schedule, which she hopes residents “will love and have fun with.” She has plenty in store for the community, including creating more clubs and planning off-site excursions, monthly programs and new events.
When Danielle isn’t coordinating events, she enjoys raising her two-year-old son, Gavin, with her high school sweetheart, whom she’s been married to for five years, as well as camping in Glamis, California, and at the river with her family.
There’s no better time than summer to venture out on a day trip. And since school’s out, what better companions to have on your adventures than the kids or grandkids!

Make your way to Tom’s Farms for wholesome family fun! Kids can enjoy train and pony rides, a petting zoo, a magic show, shooting gallery, carousel and a craft fair held every weekend from 8am to 5pm. Adults can jam out to free live music featuring some of Temescal Valley’s best local bands.
Want to stay closer to home? Then head to Butterfield Trail, which connects Terramor residents to parks and trails. You can also check out Vista Trail, Terramor’s newest trail near the preserved riparian area. Along the way, you and the kids or grandkids can read up on the local wildlife and take in amazing views of the Santa Ana Mountains.
The Veranda is the ideal place for a relaxing afternoon. Lounge on the sun deck or grill up a sizzling summer barbeque feast while the young ones splash around in the pool. It’s all there for you to enjoy.

When you take the time to learn about and explore Temescal Valley, you’ll find that it’s a place rooted in history. And there are plenty of landmarks to check out around town.
Two centuries ago in 1818, Leandro Serrano, a soldier at Mission San Luis Rey, raised livestock, planted orchards and vineyards and established adobe homes for himself and his family on what he called Rancho Temescal. The remnants of his two tanning vats used to make leather from cow hides have been restored and marked by a plaque.
As for the land where Serrano lived on, the Serrano Boulder stands where he constructed his first adobe in 1824—the first residence in Riverside County. And a plaque marks the site of his third adobe home, where his family lived until 1898.
Located on Temescal Canyon Road, the Old Temescal Road marker stands as another California historical landmark. This road played a major role in Southern California history as a major route for gold seekers, the military and postal service. And on this route was Butterfield Stage Station, where mail was delivered, horses changed and passengers given rest and a meal. The landmark for the station now lives at the Shops at Dos Lagos near the lakes.
It’s a big year for Temescal Valley, which just turned 200 years old! You can join in on the Bicentennial Celebration throughout the year with events and activities. For more information, visit the We Are Temescal Valley website.
Whether it’s weekly fitness classes or monthly craft meet-ups, you’re bound to find something that catches your interest from our exciting list of clubs and classes:
It’s always a good time to get involved in your community—and the options are plentiful! For more information about any of these groups and meet-ups, call (951) 289-7900 or visit the Welcome House at The Veranda.
Whether you’re a beer connoisseur or a wine enthusiast, you can now find your drink of choice at Terramor’s 55+ resort-style amenity center, The Terrace Club.
